In 2009 we inaugurated the OYASAF fellowship program, which annually which attracts graduate students from abroad to spend a month at the foundation to pursue their research projects in Nigerian arts. Project proposals addressing OYASAF's collection of contemporary Nigerian art are particularly encouraged. For further information, please contact us at
Publications: In 2008 OYASAF commissioned the catalog Yoruba Traditional Art: The Collection of Omooba Yemisi Adedoyin Shyllon Art Foundation (OYASAF) to document the traditional pieces in its collection. The foundation further collaborated with Dr. Ohioma Pogoson to commemorate the work of renowned sculptor Lamidi Fakeye in a coffee table book, titled Conversations with Lamidi Fakeye (Lagos: Revilo Limited, 2012).
OYASAF documentary photography project: After two successful photography competitions in 2009 and 2010, in 2011, OYASAF commenced documenting major cultural events and sceneries. Our main emphasis is photo documenting Nigeria but also covering West Africa using our own facilities and our in house-documentary photographer. That way OYASAF is building and has built an enviable set of photographs on Nigeria and its environ, some of which can be accessed in our weekly update on OYASAF blog. OYASAF is partnering with the Turkish UFUK Dialogue Foundation in promoting and exhibiting Nigerian art and photography around the world.
